Am I the only one who is getting anxious about their grades?
I’m fighting the compulsion to check and re-check to see if grades are posted
every 2.5 seconds. The only thing that stops me is the niggling thought that maybe;
just maybe I might not actually be happy when I see them.
It’s not that I doubt
my intellectual capabilities, but any undergrad student will tell you, when it’s
time to study there is an infinite list of things that suddenly require your
urgent attention.
Things like…
1.Binge watching your favorite shows on Netflix.
2.Catching up on all the sleep you missed during
those intense Netflix sessions.
3.Complaining to anyone that will listen about how
hard foundation courses are.
4.Making a step by step itinerary for the epicness
that is about to be your summer vacation.
5.Online shopping for the perfect summer wardrobe.
6.Cancelling all the orders because you remembered
that you don’t actually have any money.
7.Packing all your ish to get the hell up outta
your dorm room-because summer! That’s why.
8.Formulating an in-depth business plan that
involves the sale of (fruit bag) bag juice and Wata at construction sites
because school is way too hard and you’re over it and the damn exams.
9.Wondering if you get 49% if ‘dem’ go give you a
bligh*.
10.Instagramming pics of your text books and notes
to feel better about not studying.
11.Check your phone obsessively for the likes to
roll in.
12.Trying to find the end of the internet.
13.Drafting an elaborate explanation to give your
Mom and scholarship board in the event that your grades are less than stellar.
14.Grocery shopping. What? Brain food!
15.Contemplating the miracle of your existence.
Yeah, pretty time consuming stuff. Especially if you’re like
me and did most of the things on the list, or like my roomie who *cough* obsessed
over shoes was an ideal student. Maybe you studied, maybe you did... other
stuff. *cue ominous music* The time of reckoning is upon us and I wish you the absolute best and hope
you have an epic summer.
